About Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York, since its establishment in 1949, has been making various efforts to safeguard the safety and rights of Korean nationals overseas, promote stronger ties between Korea and the United States in political, economic, cultural, and other areas, and facilitate cooperation and dialogue within the Korean-American community as the mission’s top priorities.
Currently, the Consulate General services five northeastern states of the United States: New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
Looking ahead, the Consulate General will continue to communicate with the Korean community and actively support them to promote further harmony and growth of the community while enhancing their capacity as a buttress for the strengthening cooperative relations between Korea and the United States.
At the same time, we will continue our efforts to provide faster and more convenient consular services for those who visit the Consulate General. Also, we will provide prompt emergency assistance and share more useful and pertinent information that is helpful to the community, such as public safety notices and economic trends within the mission’s jurisdiction area, through our website.
Moreover, we are committed to finding various ways to support Korean companies located in the five states we serve. Also, in order to elevate the Korea-US relations to the next level, we will make our utmost efforts to strengthen our exchanges and cooperation with state and local governments and legislatures, key economic stakeholders, and major opinion leaders, such as think tanks and news media organizations.
