Korean Women’s Association

The Korean Women's Association (KWA) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing comprehensive human services across Western Washington. Based in Lakewood, WA, KWA operates 16 offices spanning 14 counties, delivering culturally responsive and multilingual support to over 10,000 clients annually. The organization employs 1,800+ dedicated staff members committed to empowering individuals and families to live safe and dignified lives.

KWA's service portfolio addresses critical community needs through multiple specialized programs. The Social Services department assists clients with benefit enrollment, naturalization support, health navigation, and senior services. The Community Behavioral Health program provides preventative education, care coordination, and specialized support in Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, and King Counties. KWA's In-Home Care services enable seniors to age in place while supporting individuals with disabilities to maintain independence throughout Western Washington.

Additional services include Domestic Violence Assistance through the confidential We Are Family Home shelter, offering safety and advocacy resources. The organization manages over 200 units of affordable housing across three senior properties and two low-income housing facilities, serving working individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities. Through its Citizenship and Immigration Services center, KWA provides critical naturalization support in multiple languages. Senior Support programming offers community engagement, culturally specific meal sites, and activity centers in Pierce and King Counties, ensuring seniors remain connected and active within their communities.
